Working with one or two axes

By default, the tiled views show variations of a single parameter, such as the image's brightness. However, you can instead view variations of two parameters at once, such as the image's brightness and contrast. To select this, use the View buttons:

Click on the X View button to view variations on a single parameter. The parameter is controlled by the X Axis buttons at the top of the window.

Click on the XY View button to view variations on two parameters. One parameter is controlled by the X Axis buttons, and the other by the Y Axis buttons.

In the XY view:

The tile in the center - outlined in red - shows the effect of the current correction (just as in the X view).

The X Axis parameter increases from left (the minimum correction) to right (the maximum correction).

The Y Axis parameter increases from bottom (the minimum correction) to top (the maximum correction).

In most cases, you'll probably find it best to work with a single parameter. The most obvious exception to this is when you are in RGB mode, and you want to adjust the contrast and brightness together.
